Privacy Policy — Perfect Coverage
Last updated: June 2026 · Effective date: June 2026
Perfect Coverage ("we", "us", "our") is a wedding photography and videography studio based in Cairo, Egypt, operating the website perfectcoverage.org and the "My Day" client portal. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
This policy is written to align with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020 — "PDPL") and follows international best practice (GDPR-style) for our international guests. ****
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
Perfect Coverage — Cairo, Egypt. Privacy contact: privacy@perfectcoverage.org** (or support@perfectcoverage.org).
2. The information we collect
A. Information you give us directly
- Booking & contact details: your name, phone number, email address, wedding/engagement date, venue and location, the package you choose, and details about your event (e.g. vendors such as hairdresser, dress designer, decor, other photographers).
- Messages: the content of conversations you have with us on Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, our website chat, or email.
- Payment proof: screenshots/receipts of your deposit or transfer (which may show a sender name, reference number, and method). We do not store full card numbers or bank credentials — only the proof image you send.
- My Day portal account: your email and a password. Your password is never stored in plain text — it is protected using a one-way cryptographic hash (PBKDF2).
- Verification codes: short reference codes you send from your own Instagram/WhatsApp to verify your booking.
B. Information created as part of our service
- Your wedding photos and videos that we capture, edit, colorize, and deliver — this is the core of our service.
- Order records: booking status, deposit/balance, delivery links, and internal notes about your event.
C. Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data when you use our website (e.g. IP address, browser/device type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site working. See our Cookie Policy.
D. Special-category note Wedding imagery can be considered sensitive (it identifies people and may reveal religious or family context). We treat your images with extra care and only use them as described in Section 4 and our Photo & Video Consent and Release.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you — the website booking form, the My Day portal, and your messages on Instagram/WhatsApp/Facebook/website chat/email.
- Automatically — limited technical/security data from your device when you visit the website.
- During the service — the photos/videos we create at your event.
4. How we use your information (and why)
- To provide the service — plan and deliver your photography/videography, manage your booking, schedule the shoot, edit and deliver your final files. (Legal basis: performance of a contract.)
- To communicate with you — answer questions, confirm bookings, send your portal access, deliver links, and follow up. (Contract / legitimate interest.)
- To handle payments — review your deposit/transfer proof and track balances. (Contract.)
- For security & fraud prevention — verify bookings via codes and check transfer proofs against the expected amount. (Legitimate interest / legal obligation.)
- For marketing on social media — we may publish selected photos/short clips (stories/reels) from weddings to showcase our work. This is governed by your Photo & Video Consent and Release; you can opt out (Section 8). (Consent.) ****
- To improve our service — understand which questions clients ask most and improve our responses and workflow.
- Legal compliance — keep records required by Egyptian law (e.g. tax/accounting). (Legal obligation.)
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
5. Legal basis for processing ****
We rely on: performance of a contract (delivering your booking), consent (publishing your images on social media; optional marketing messages), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving our service), and legal obligation (tax/accounting records).
6. Who we share it with (service providers / sub-processors)
We use trusted third-party services to run our business. They process data on our behalf and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and our secure data store (Workers KV). (Data may be processed on global infrastructure.)
- Namecheap Private Email — sending and receiving our official emails.
- Google (Google Drive) — secure storage and delivery of your photos and videos.
- Meta Platforms (Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook) — when you message us on those channels.
- Zernio — a unified inbox that helps us manage and reply to your messages.
- TickTick — internal order/task management.
We also share data when required by law or a lawful request from authorities. ****
7. International data transfers ****
Some providers above (e.g. Cloudflare, Google, Meta) store or process data on servers outside Egypt. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' international safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent). By using our service you understand your data may be processed internationally.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct data that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten") — subject to records we must keep by law.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time — including telling us not to publish your photos/videos on social media, or to remove already-published content featuring you.
- Opt out of marketing messages.
- Lodge a complaint with the Egyptian Data Protection Center (under the PDPL) or your local authority.
To exercise any right, email privacy@perfectcoverage.org. We aim to respond within 30 days. ****
Note: if you request deletion of all your data while you have an active order, we will delete it and stop work on that order; no amounts are refunded (see Terms §15).
9. Data retention
- Active booking data: kept while your booking is active and during the delivery period.
- Delivered photos/videos: available for download for a maximum of one (1) month after delivery. It is your responsibility to download and back up your files within this window. After one month we may permanently delete them, and we are not obliged to keep, re-supply, or recover them, nor to respond to requests for them after that period (see Terms §5A).
- Payment proofs & accounting records: kept as long as required by Egyptian tax/accounting law **** — separate from your media files.
- Portal accounts: kept while active; deleted on request.
- Messages: kept as needed to serve you and resolve disputes.
- Proof of your acceptance of our Terms (name, date/time, IP): kept for up to 10 years as legal evidence.
10. Security
We protect your data with: encryption in transit (HTTPS), password hashing (PBKDF2 — we never see your password), restricted access, verification codes for bookings, and fraud checks on payment proofs. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a serious breach as required by law. ****
11. Children's privacy
Our service is for adults arranging events. We do not knowingly collect data from children directly. Children naturally appear in wedding imagery; such imagery is handled under our Photo & Video Consent and Release, with parental/guardian consent where required. ****
12. Cookies & tracking
See our separate Cookie Policy. We use only what is needed to run the site securely; we ask for consent for any non-essential cookies. ****
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you (e.g. by email or a portal notice).
